Stag groups usually build their weekend around activities like gorge walking, canoeing, caving, rock climbing, or the Via Ferrata high-wire course. These sessions are led by experienced instructors and set up to suit mixed abilities, so everyone can get involved, not just the most confident.

The point is that everyone is involved in the same thing, at the same time, in the same place.

Absolute Blast

Absolute blast, stayed here over the weekend for an adventure stag trip and loved it.
Owner was super helpful and stayed late as some of the party had bit more traffic. Cabins were cosy with the log burner stove.

Day 1 (Friday) Arrive from 3pm:

Settle into your accommodation. Choose from:

Rustic lodges with hot tubs (sleeps 10)

BBQ & Chill: Get that stag party started by lighting the BBQ and start cooking with our BBQ packs from local award-winning butchers from Pateley Bridge. Home-made coleslaw from our chefs at How Stean Gorge and salad and bread rolls. Everything is included even the matches to get that BBQ flaming.

Day 2 (Saturday)

9am: The day of adventure starts with a hearty Full English breakfast (or dietary alternative) including tea or coffee in our unique glass-floored café overhanging the gorge, and then it’s straight out to start an exciting day of activities!

10am: You will meet your instructor and get ready to do the ‘Big Five’ full-day activity package. You will start with the Via Ferrata and proceed onto Abseiling and Gorge Walking/Ghyll Scrambling immediately after.

Lunch: After a jam-packed morning of stag adventures, we return to the café for a spot of lunch. Lunch includes sausage, chips and peas and a drink. It’s important to stay hydrated to participate in the activities!

2pm: Then you will all head out for the 2nd half of ‘The Big 5 Experience’. Starting with Canoeing along Scar House Reservoir taking in the views (or throwing the stag in) then it will be time to head underground for an exhilarating caving experience.

5pm: Finish. Relax in the hot tubs or explore the local pubs and villages.

Day 3 (Sunday) Morning:

After you have got yourselves back together, head to the café for breakfast.

10am: Depart from your bunkhouse/accommodation.
