Our events space sits out over the gorge, with wide views across Nidderdale and plenty of natural light coming in through the glass. It’s a place people tend to comment on the moment they walk in, partly because of where it is, and partly because there’s nothing else quite like it nearby!
The space has been used for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate conferences and group gatherings. Some events are lively, others are more relaxed, but the setting does a lot of the work either way. You’re not in a hotel function room or a town-centre venue. This is venue hire in Yorkshire that feels a world away from standard event spaces.
A space that works around your event
The room offers around 130 square metres of space, making it a flexible event space in the Yorkshire Dales for groups of up to 60 people. Tables and chairs can be laid out to suit what you’re planning, whether that’s a sit-down meal, space to mingle, or room for a dance floor later on.
The glass walls bring the outside in, and parts of the floor are glass too, giving a view straight down into the gorge below. Some people love that feature straight away, others take a little longer to look. Either way, it’s a talking point and part of what makes the space feel different.
Food, views and time together
Food plays a big part in events here. Catering options include hearty meals and homemade cakes and desserts, prepared on site and suited to the kind of gathering you’re planning.
Being based in Nidderdale gives this event venue a calmer feel. Some groups choose to add a visit into the gorge while they’re here, others keep things centred around the space itself and the views outside the windows. There’s no set format and no pressure to do things a certain way.
Press Day
This project received a fantastic response and a lot of interest throughout its development. We had a fantastic press day with Richard Spencer CEO at Visit Harrogate and the official opening with Sir Gary Verity CEO of Welcome to Yorkshire. This then led to this unique events space being featured in many local and national papers, online, radio and television.
The European Structural Investment Fund: European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development has contributed to our ‘wow’ factor venue. It has allowed us to accommodate growing corporate groups which in turn enables additional local employment. A massive thank you to them as we wouldn’t have been able to create this space without their help!
