This 10 bed lodge is furnished with bespoke rustic features and wooden bunk beds.

Our lodges are the perfect accommodation for those wanting to make a weekend or longer stay accompanied with one of our outdoor activity packages. Each lodge is equipped with a log burner, sofa, kitchen work top area, fridge, kettle and table & chairs.

Our on-site glass floored cafe is perfect for hearty breakfasts and lunches.

What's included in a 10 Bed Lodge?

- Two 3 tier bunks and two standard bunks

- Indoor log burner, complete with a bag off logs & fire lighters to get you going

- Access to facilities block, complete with underfloor heating

- A BBQ and personal fire pit (bags of logs and firelighters are available to purchase in our onsite shop)

- Heating & electric charging points (mainly 12v USB)

- Covered veranda

- Free site wide Wi-Fi

- Free parking close to each cabin

Our large modern, heated facilities block services the cabins and is a short walk (meters) from each, with 10 toilets and showers and hair dryers. You will also find our indoor washing up area with fresh water straight from our spring over the wall.

Shortly we will be offering three sizes of lodges for groups and larger families, all are finished to the same high standard.

The remaining 2 lodges are aimed to be completed for July 2022, in time for the summer holidays.  These 2 lodges will have full kitchen, toilet & shower facilities which make them ideal for families, or those wishing to stay for a longer period while exploring the area.

What do I need to bring ? Bring your clothes and personal items inc towels, the electricity supply to each cabin is plenty to charge phones and other devices but won’t handle power tools so leave them at home

Bring a sleeping bag or duvet, a bottom sheet and pillow case will be provided for you.

Are there cooking facilities? A BBQ is provided with each chalet with charcoal and firelighters available from the shop. Apart from this there's no formal cooking facilities. These chalets are primarily designed for groups visiting our café.

All cutlery, cups, plates and BBQ utensils are provided.

Are they warm? Yes all the cabins are insulated and come with a log burner that will keep you toasty

Is their wi-fi? Yes we have wi-fi the site does not have phone reception however

Is it suitable for groups? the site is group friendly, it is a quite site in a rural setting if you are looking for a noisy weekend this might not be for you.

Can I bring my dog? yes dogs are welcome as long as they stay off the furniture (may be subject to extra cleaning fee)

What time can I check in from? Check in is from 3pm and check out is by 10am

Is there a pub near by? yes there are two pubs within walking distance of the site, we can offer a minibus and driver for those who want a night out further afield.


This lodge is named after the famous Tom Taylors Cave which runs directly under How Stean Gorges site. It's also possible to walk round Tom Taylors cave as part of the Gorge & Caves Visitor attractions.
