Part of the fun of school residential visits is staying all together whether camping or staying indoors. Special memories of telling stories around the campfire, negotiating the top bunk, and whispering after ‘lights out’ are bound to last for years to come!
Character-building, cosy and rustic – camping is the ideal option for large groups of kids with 22 tent pitches available in our beautiful, grassy campsite. Alternatively, after a day jam-packed with adventures you might want to skip the setup and crash in our pre-erected 10-man tents for convenience.
Camping is a great way to bring everybody together in the evening by gathering around the campfire, surrounded by permanent logs – the perfect time and place to toast some marshmallows. The community feel of camping is an integral part of the residential visit experience so why not use this time go around the group and ask each student to share:
- A new skill they developed in their activities
- A moment that was challenging
- How they used teamwork to help them
- An area they felt they did really well at
By reflecting on the activities and learning experiences, your students will feel even more confident before the next day of outdoor challenges!
Residential visit camping facilities include:
- 10 x male and female toilets
- 12 x showers
- Meals at our onsite cafe
- Free wifi (no mobile phone signal)
- Free car and coach parking
- Glass floored events room
