Situated between Pateley Bridge and Masham, How Stean is 45 mins from the A1 and ½ hour from the A59. From Pateley Bridge brown and white tourist signs show you the way. Follow the narrow valley road alongside the River Nidd through breathtaking scenery where we’ll be waiting for you.

Bus Service

During the summer months, take advantage of the scenic Sunday bus service from Harrogate and Pateley Bridge to Upper Nidderdale (Nidderdale Rambler route 825).

During the summer school holidays, Upper Nidderdale Bus 25 runs right into our car park on Tuesdays and Saturdays – you can take a trip up to Middlesmoor or Scar House and walk back.
