Stag and Hen parties
Looking for adventure? How Stean Gorge can offer an exciting mix of gorge scrambling, abseiling, caving, rock climbing and canoeing all in one location. Ideal for Stag & Hen Parties. New shower facilities available from Spring 2012.
Challenge yourself on The Via Ferrata – literally meaning ‘Iron Way’ – a network of iron beams, ladders, chains and cables set in the rocks to help adventurers climb, scramble and abseil through How Stean Gorge. You will wade through gushing water, traverse on ladders and beams, abseil 60 feet off a bridge, slide through spouts and sit under waterfalls. Sessions take approx. 3 hours, starting with a safety briefing with one of our 3 approved guide. All safety equipment is provided.
Delve deeper into the countryside on foot or by bike? At the heart of the Yorkshire Dales we’re also suited for adventure on and off road with green lanes, bridleways and tracks leading to picturesque villages and remote reservoir locations. We can advise on flatter routes for beginners and challenging hill routes for the more adventurous.
Potholing and other water based experiences can be arranged in advance.
