Gorge Walking Yorkshire

Rock Climbing
Join us and see if you have a head for heights. Our rock climbing sessions will put you on the rock face to test your nerve and skill. Brimham rocks is a natural adventure playground and hosts a variety of different rock climbing routes so whatever your ability we will find something for you to try.
Caving in the Yorkshire Dales
Want something a bit different and dirty? Let our instructors take you caving at How Stean and other Nidderdale caves. Our trips can be tailored to your needs. If you're a bit apprehensive about squeezing through tight, dark tunnels, don’t worry; we can take you through the huge caverns of Nidderdale where at the most you might have to crouch down.
Canoeing & Kayaking
For those who like to bob about in the water, How Stean can take you on an action packed Open canoe trip; ideal for all the family no experience needed. Enjoy the spectacular scenery, paddle your canoe, splash around or attempt to stay dry!
The Big 5 a day
No where else in the world can you climb on a via ferratta, Abseil, Gorge Walk (Canyoning), Cave and Canoe all in one day. A full day of activities all within 3 miles of our base. How Stean Gorge is not a theme park, its the real thing!

How Stean Gorge offers an exciting experience of guided tours and outdoor pursuits including abseiling, gorge scrambling, caving canoeing or Kayaking all in one location. Perfectly suited to corporate, educational, pre-wedding and youth groups. The 50 cover restaurant is also ideal for functions and parties.
Camping
Too much to fit into one day? Bring a tent and stay on our campsite . With 30 tent pitches available, it’s a great place to meet up with friends and family! On site restaurant and facilities makes the experience a real pleasure! Our site is peaceful and relaxing and ideally placed for exploring the wonders of the Yorkshire Dales.
